"I would like to take a moment to brag on crew that is here on and off site working to complete the project we have from you. The guys are very receptive of receiving guidance from other ONEOK personnel or embedded contractors. I know its hard to go from site to site and immediately understand the policies and procedures set in place. We have successfully stood up 3 of the stair towers to this day. And are expected to set up the last one tomorrow morning. The cross over bridge and escape ladders have also been put into place with no issues. The guys are very respectful of others in the facility and the other contractors working directly around them. They are moving along at a very strong pace to make sure they hit key deadlines. So thank you and your team for a very successful project! This has really been a great crew to work with!"

"What an awesome bunch of people!! Was there to pick up a load for Alberta, Canada, and from the gentleman in shipping, to the guys that loaded me…..absolutely fantastic!! Very quick to load, paperwork on point. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second accepting another load from these people. Thanks guys, it was a pleasure meeting with you. 10 star company"

"This project went really smooth. Were ahead of schedule. We kept throwing obstacles their way and they handled it like champs! Oscar was very communicative and a pleasure to work with. We had not very good conditions but Oscar and his crew prevailed. I’m grateful that he was willing to work around our schedule and keep moving forward."

What is a cooling tower?

An industrial cooling tower is a specialized heat rejection device used to cool down large volumes of water by extracting waste heat into the atmosphere. Its primary function is to support industrial processes that generate heat, such as power plants, petroleum refineries, chemical manufacturing facilities, and many other process cooling applications. Any manufacturing facility that requires cooling to operate efficiently likely uses a water cooling tower.

How does it work?

The process works by using evaporation to cool water. Hot water from an industrial process is pumped to the top of the tower and distributed over a “fill” material. As the water trickles down, it is exposed to a draft of air—either from large fans (mechanical draft) or natural airflow (natural draft). A small portion of the water evaporates which removes a significant amount of heat from the remaining water. The now-cooled water is collected in a basin at the bottom of the tower and returned to the industrial process, while the heated, humid air is released into the atmosphere.
